Networked Thinking is a method of capturing, organizing, distilling, and expressing thoughts. There are many specific workflows that can be used but they all share the central concept that ideas can be expressed as individual notes and then they can reference other notes in a unambiguous way. By linking thoughts together in this way, you form a network or [[Connected Graph]] that has many parallels to the [[human brain]]. This has lead many practitioners of networked thinking to call your collection of networked notes a [[second brain]]. ## Why? I dunno, it's cool. 😂 I'll add a real reason here later. ## Implementation Networked thinking can be done with modern tools like [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md), [LogSeq](https://logseq.com/), or any tool that allows you to easily [[hyperlink]] between pages. Alternatively, you could use a physical [[Slip-box]] to achieve the same end-result. ## Cautionary tales and limitations Networked thinking and note-taking has some pitfalls and issues that you should be aware of before trying to adopt it. - Analysis/optimization Paralysis - Taxonomy Problems - Distraction - Overwhelm
